Lunar completes NT challenge #22 (explores inside a tree)

On the 29 Aug 2014, Daddy took me and Nanny for a walk over the fields in Studley. It was quite a windy day and a few drops of rain landed on my head. Daddy said I looked like Red Riding Hood.
We spotted a great big tree. It had acorns attached so it must have been a great Oak. I just had to get nearer and take a closer look.
Daddy said 'you don't get any nearer than inside'. So, inside I went and I had a great explore. This adventure completed my second National Trust challenge - explore inside a tree.

Lunar completes NT challenge #21 (picking blackberries)

Daddy saw the National Trust (NT) website had a 'thing' on it called '50 things to do before you're 11 & 3/4'. Before I could say 'over the moon', he had signed me up for it. If you want to take a look at the 50 challenges, please follow this link: 50 things...
Wild blackberries growing at the top of Doo Little drive
The first challenge I completed was challenge #21 'pick blackberries growing in the wild'. Daddy walked me to the top of our drive, armed me with a little pot and instructed me to pick.
Before long, I had filled my little pot with lots of fat delicious blackberries. I wasn't allowed to eat any until the pot was full. Once the pot was full, daddy made me wash them too.
Mmmm, they really were delicious. I think I am going to enjoy my challenges that lay ahead!

She bangs the drums

When I was just 1 and a 1/2 years old, daddy made me a drum kit. Daddy said I drummed better than Keith Moon. If you wanna check me out for yourself please watch the video's below.

Over the Moon

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Lunar and my daddy has just created this site to help capture special moments in my life. I think my daddy is creating a bucket list of things he'd like me to do before the age of 11 and 3/4 (you can blame the National Trust for that) with the hope that I'll add challenges of my own as I grow older. At the moment, I am only 1 and 1/2 years old.

Here's a quick update on my life events / challenges to date:

I was born on the 3 February 2013. I weighed 6 lbs and 6 oz. Daddy says I was born at 6:45 a.m.
I read my first book at less than a month old. Mommy and daddy think I'm a quick learner. Daddy says I'll be a rocket scientist when I grow up.
I have worn lots of different hats since my birth. The first hat I wore though was at just a month old. I don't think it would fit me now!
I wonder if I'll travel to such great sites like Stone Henge? I haven't been to a stone circle yet. However, mummy and daddy took me to Belas Knap - this was an ancient burial chamber and my first pre-historic site visit!

It wasn't long before I went on my first holiday! Indeed, at just 3 months old, I went to the Cotswolds for a long weekend and stayed in a caravan!
I got my first taste of a real sea-side holiday when I was 4 months old. Mommy and daddy took me to Dorset. The photo below was taken on a Jurassic coast.
Despite only having a little palette, I love my food. I like sauces and flavours and both sweet and chili things. I had my first curry at just 8 months old.
My first Christmas was great. It was Christmas 2013 and I got to dress up as an elf. I think this was the first time I ever got dressed up.
In February 2014, I had my first birthday (not including the day I was actually born). Just like Christmas, I had lots of presents to open. I was very excited.
Better yet, I even had a birthday party. Can you guess how many candles were on my cake? (I had already been to a birthday party before my own).
Ice creams and the like are delicious. I just love mini-milks. I'm sure I had my first mini-milk during June 2014.
Daddy reckons this was the first time I 'properly' went into the sea. I had my toe dipped in the sea the year before but this time I paddled. I'm sure daddy will add a post when I take my first swim in the sea.

I completed my first National Trust challenge (#23) on 12 August 2014, aged 1 and 1/12 years old. Mommy and daddy took me to visit a farm. I saw lots of animals on this visit and even fed a lamb with a bottle of milk!
Daddy wants me to visit a farm again before he ticks this challenge off. He says this is because he wants all new challenges to be completed after this blog has been created. What is he like?! If you want to see how I get on with my (dad's) bucket list, challenges, adventures in life, etc - then please follow this blog and we'll keep you updated.

My daddy is 'over the moon' with all my achievements thus far.
